623: Christ Church, Bangkok, Thailand
Read this report | Other comments
22 August 2007
The services at Christ Church in Bangkok remain high church, despite the recent absence of the Nicene or Apostles' Creeds, but they are too folksy. People would like to be part of something more serious. Christ Church in Bangkok does not perform a solemn mass on Sunday.
Perhaps at one time, many years ago, there was a solemn mass every Sunday morning. But now, with an upright piano and guitars, occasional laughter, folksiness and a general looseness, the services are not as serious of those of the Anglican Church in Europe.
