The Mystery Worshipper comments that "only one of the Swedish priests had crossed the stole over his chest, which I gather is more usually the Swedish way."
Priests in the Church of Sweden always cross the stole over the alb. If the stole is hung on the side, the wearer is a deacon. If both ends hang straight down in front, (s)he is a bishop.
If, however, the stole is hung on a surplice, it will never be crossed.
