I enjoyed reading your comments on the Taizé weekly prayer service in the French Church, New York City.
I attended that service regularly until I emigrated to Germany in 2008.
My experience of the beautiful hour of prayer was the same as yours. My thoughts too are: peace, meditation, gentle welcome, where two or three are gathered...
A feature you may have missed is that when people such as me leave New York and later return for a visit, they attend the service. So it occasionally happenes that a person who moved away ten or fifteen years ago can turn up out of the blue for a Thursday night service.
I am so grateful to that lovely group of people. And I thank you for taking the time to research and review the service of worship.
