We were present at the opening mass on 27 September and heartily agree that one of the most solemn moments was during the time of holy communion. The reverence and recollection were palpable and the music very beautiful.
Although I had only once stepped inside St Walburge's prior to that day, my husband and I have been to every Sunday morning mass there since. We can testify to a similar reverence and beauty during holy mass and a continuation of the friendliness and warmth described by the Mystery Worshipper.
Each Sunday we gladly partake of refreshments afterwards (tea, coffee and even sometimes homemade baking that families attending have brought to share). After leaving church, people make a real effort to exchange greetings and extend a welcome so that you do not feel left alone.
