2384: Anglican Church of the Costa del Sol West, San Pedro, Marbella, Spain

Read this report | Other comments

16 June 2012

I was delighted to read this report and to hear how welcoming the congregation at San Pedro is. I was chaplain there in 1999 and 2000 (and again for three months in 2004).

The report wondered why the service was not in the RC church instead of the hall. We used to use a RC church (not the one referred to in the report) but there were problems - principally about clashing service times - and I expect the present chaplain feels happier with the current arrangement. Relations with the three RC priests in San Pedro were excellent in my time, even if they had some difficulty in coming to terms with the fact that I was married and my wife played a leading role in the chaplaincy!

I believe the congregation at Sotogrande still uses a local RC church there.
